EAGLE POINT — Pro Weld Inc.’s Iron Horse Barbecue Train Trailer turned heads at the recent American Rental Association Rental Show in Orlando, Fla.
More than 660 exhibitors, who market to the rental industry, put their latest and greatest wares for construction, tool and party and events categories on the floor of the Orange County Convention Center.
The 36-inch by 60-inch barbecue dressed up in a steam engine motif, made by the Eagle Point fabricator, was one of the top 15 products in the "party and events" category.
The Iron Horse was one of 30 products posted on ARA’s Web site. The product, which debuted in spring 2004, will be among 15 featured in the May issue of Rental Management, a Moline, Ill., publication.
Iron Horse vice president Penny Oberlander said the cross-country trip was well worth it because of the interest given her product at the rental show.
"With over 140 leads at the show from 27 states and four countries interested in purchasing it for their rental stores, we have been busy with the follow-ups," Oberlander said.
